Christmas Around the World Day 11: Congo

Chris the elf hanging out with the Nativity scene.

Today we learned about Congo, the Republic of Congo to be specific.  We learned that the people are called Congolese and speak French and Swahili.  Merry Christmas in Swahili is Sikuku ya Kuzaliwa Kristo!  The population of Congo is concentrated in the town areas and the majority of the land is tropical jungle.  For a craft we made drum.
